Student Health Advocates are key to our classroom success
peer modeling
Our goal is to support community-based leadership for the formation of healthy habits. That’s why teachers are asked to select student health ambassadors to lead school-wide health challenges and serve as a student link between the classroom and the EO youth health educator. Peer modeling is proven to be an excellent way to promote healthy behaviors; hence, by having a classroom leader, students learn from their classmates about best practices in nutrition. Through this process, healthy behaviors become the social norm within classrooms, schools, and communities.
