SCHOOL-BASED PROGRAMS

Know Your Health

The Know Your Health (KYH) Program is a school-based nutrition initiative that teaches students about healthy eating, physical activity, and disease prevention. Through lessons on topics like healthy foods, sugar awareness, hydration, mental health, and chronic disease prevention, students learn how to make smart choices for lifelong wellness.

The program encourages children to eat more fruits and vegetables, drink water instead of sugary drinks, and stay active every day. By building healthy habits early, KYH helps students and families create a strong foundation for long-term health and well-being.

3D WellnesS

The 3D Wellness Program is designed to equip students with essential life and work-readiness skills that support college and career preparedness through a holistic approach centered on social well-being. Through engaging lessons and interactive activities, students learn to manage emotions, build healthy relationships, and make positive decisions that enhance their overall wellness. The program also integrates financial and occupational wellness to help students prepare for future success. By focusing on the whole person, 3D Wellness fosters lifelong health, resilience, and personal growth.

Each module is structured to promote self-awareness and accountability, guiding students to set personal goals and track their progress over time. Through mentorship and reflective exercises, participants gain a deeper understanding of how emotional intelligence and professional behavior intersect, empowering them to thrive in both academic and workplace environments.

SHARP Program Summary

The Student Health Advocacy Research Program (SHARP) is a two-week extension of the 3D Wellness initiative. Selected students become peer leaders who design and lead school-wide health campaigns—such as fitness challenges or environmental cleanups—based on what they learned in 3D Wellness.

Through SHARP, students build leadership, teamwork, financial literacy, and advocacy skills while promoting wellness in their school community. The program empowers youth to take action, inspire their peers, and create lasting change for a healthier Baltimore.
